Beth El Series

The concluding lecture in the
Temple Beth El Scholar Series
will be presented by Dr. Abram
L. Sachar 8:30 p.m. Monday at
the Temple.
Dr. Sachar will speak on "A
Blueprint for Tomorrow—Basic
Problems That Face Jewish
Life." Theme of the lecture
series, to which the public is
invited, is "Controversial Issues
Facing American Jewry."
Dr. Sachar is the president of
Brandeis University. He is
known nationally as an out-
standing educator, scholar and
historian. His books include "A
History of The Jews," now in
its 17th printing. He is the re-
cipient of honorary degrees from
nine universities.
Dr. Sachar will return on
Nov. 21 to address the annual
Brandeis University dinner.

Bnai David Plans
Hanukah Concert

Cong. Bnai David will present
its third annual Hanukah con-
cert 8 p.m. Dec. 8, announced
Jack Leiberman, chairman.
The concert will feature Can-
tor Hyman J. Adler, the sister-
hood choral group, Bnai David
choir and Max Sossin. The Hanu-
kah concert committee includes
Max Sossin, co-chairman; Mel
Volin, Mel Richman and Neil
Kalef. Tickets are available at

Hebrew Academy Sells
Candy to Raise Funds

In order to raise funds, stu-
dents and parents of The He-
brew Academy, 15400 W. Ten
Mile, Oak Park, are holding a
