Grossinger's Plans
Forest for Eleanor
Roosevelt in Israel

Guests at the Grossinger Coun-
try Club and members of the

Grossinger family have embarked
on a plan to plant a forest of
10,000 trees in Israel in memory
of Eleanor Roosevelt "because
of the interest she showed in
the new country and her affec-
tion for its people."
The project, initiated by Jen-
nie Grossinger, will be part of
Israel's Freedom Forest and will
symbolize the alliance of Ameri-
can and Israeli liberty.
Mendel Fisher, secretary of
the Jewish National Fund, said
that the Eleanor Roosevelt For-
est will be near Jerusalem.
