The guest speaker is the for-

Wise Free Synagogue in New
York City. He came to the
Union of American Hebrew
Congregations in 1957 as the
first director of the Office of
Synagogue Administration.
In 1962, the UAHC, together
with the Central Conference of
American Rabbis established a
joint Commission on Synagogue

Ginsburg Speaks
at Reception of
Histadrut Nov. 14

Julius Ginsburg, Chicago
Zionist leader, will address the
annual reception for volunteer
workers of the Israel Histadrut
Campaign at 8:30 p.m., Thurs-
day, at the Hayim Greenberg
Center on Schaefer. This func-
tion is the first of several
scheduled in preparation for
the official opening of the
1964 Histadrut drive on Dec. 3.
Morris Lieberman, chairman
of the Detroit Histadrut Cam-
paign, anticipates a record
turnout of volunteers and their
guests for this affair.
At a parlor meeting on Oct.
29 at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Malamud, many veteran
contributors to the campaign
announced increased contribu-
tions for the purpose of boost-
ing Histadrut's scholarship
fund. Every pledge card this
year provides for an extra 40th
anniversary gift. The funds thus
raised will go exclusively
towards the Histadrut scholar-
ship fund for secondary educa-
tion and vocational training in
Israel.
Morris Lieberman has an-
nounced that the guest of honor
at this year's 40th jubilee cam-
paign opening affair will be
Yitzhak Ben-Aharon, political
secretary of Achdut Avoda, a
member of the Knesset, the
Zionist Actions Committee and
the Histadrut Council.
