Members of the Detroit Group Israel Survey Tour have
returned home to relate their observations of the accomplish-
ments of Allied Jewish Campaign support in Israel. The Service
Group is the year-'round organization of Campaign workers in
the trades and professions. Pictured at bottom are tour chair-
man Milton K. Mahler and Mrs. Mahler on a visit to a Malben
treatment center for the handicapped aged. At top, Mr. and Mrs.
Ira Kaufman are shown admiring a rug being woven by a handi-
capped worker at the Malben center. Kaufman was chairman of
the Morticians Section of the 1963 Allied Jewish Campaign.

the kind of world we would like
to live in and do business in.
The U.N. is helping to build our
kind of world.
"In any serious discussion of
U.S. interests, and ways in
which those interests—strate-
gic. defense, political, diplo-
matic, economic and cultural—
can be protected and promoted;
in any discussion of the alterna-
tives available; in any examina-
tion of the record; the consen-
sus is: We need the U.N. be-
cause it is helping to create our
kind of world.

Gabriel Chodos, pianist, will be
the guest of the Pontiac Chap-
ter of Hadassah at a special
fund-raising function at Pontiac
Northern High School, 1051 Ar-
lene St., Pontiac, Nov. 19.

Oneida, Pontiac, or other mem-
bers of Pontiac Hadassah.
Gabriel Chodos, son of Rabbi
Chodos of Los Angeles, is pres-
ently a member of the faculty
of the school of music of the
University of Oregon. Winner
of the California Best Pianist of
the Year Award and the Pasa-
dena Pianist Auditions, he has
performed with the Pasadena
Symphony Orchestra and has
been acclaimed at many re-
citals.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate
from UCLA, Chodos studied
piano under noted teachers.

was a guest lecturer at Wayne
State University on Tuesday.
Under auspices of Uni-
versity Professor, Dr. John M.
Dorsey, Ginsberg spoke at
three session s, reading his
poems and explaining the new
trends in poetry.
Dr. and Mrs. Dorsey were
hosts at a dinner in Ginsberg's
honor. Dr. Dorsey read selec-
tions from the poet's works and
the poet spoke and elaborated
on poetry and American poets
during a question period.
