Tom Borman, chairman of the Detroit Israel Bond Committee, strongly urged his co-workers to make Detroit a $2,000,000-a-year Bond city. Announcing that $1,290,000 in Bonds already have been sold this year, Borman said that he and his committee are deter- mined that sales this year should go as high as $1,650,000. "But that won't satisfy us," he said. "Detroit should and must become a $2,000,000 a year com- munity for Israel Bonds and with your help we'll attain it." Borman announced that the sales thus far this year already exceed all of last year's by $10,000. With the sales expected at the dinner next Thursday, at which Governor Romney and Israel Minister of Justice Dov Joseph will be the speakers, another big boost is forecast for Bond activi- ties here.
