MRS. THEODORE BARGMAN
the annual dinner of Detroit
Friends of Bar-Ilan University.
This year's event, to be held
in the new Shaarey Zedek social
hall, Nov. 26, will be utilized to
accord tributes to these two
women leaders in recognition of
their many years of services to
Jewry, Israel, the United States
and Detroit.
Phillip Stollman, chairman of
American Friends of Bar-Ilan
University, announcing the nam-
ing of Mesdames Ehrlich and
Bargman for this year's high
honors, said his entire national
board and all his local asso-
ciates feel that they are them-
selves honored by the selections.
"We are thus given an oppor-
tunity to express our high re-
gard for two great women,"
Stollman said.
Mrs. Ehrlich, one of the most
distinguished leaders in Hadas-
sah, has held so many national
and local posts that she has
matched in accomplishments the
most active leaders in Michigan,
men as well as women. Her in-
terest in education, her lifelong
devotion to the United Hebrew
Schools, have made her one of
the leaders in local cultural
circles. She is a Butzel Award
winner, in recognition of her
many services to the Jewish
Welfare Federation and the
many local Federation agencies.
Like Mrs. Ehrlich, Mrs. Barg-
man is a former president of
