Rojko, former commander of
the Thereseinstadt concentration
camp in Czechoslovakia, went on
trial here on charges of having
murdered "with his own hands"

of having participated, along
with two former SS officers, in
the murder of another 102 in-
mates.
He is also accused of having
ordered various inmates to mur-
der another 10 Jews. Twelve
witnesses are scheduled to tes-
tify at the trial which is ex-
pected to last three weeks.
At the site of the notorious
concentration camp, meanwhile,
Jews from all parts of Czecho-
slovakia took part in the tradi-
tional pilgrimage to Theresien-
stadt where a special section of
the general monument to victims
of Nazi atrocities is dedicated
to the Jews who perished at the
camp. Representatives of the
Council of Jewish Communities
in Czechoslovakia and from in-
dividual Jewish communities in
Bohemia and Moravia placed
wreaths on the memorial.

CASABLANCA — A delega-
tion of Moroccan Jewish leaders
met with King Hassan II to con-
gratulate him on the birth of a
son, Prince Sidi Mohamed, and
to reiterate the attachment of
the Moroccan Jewish community
to the throne.
The King thanked members of
the delegation and talked with
them at length, particularly with
Rabbi Saul Danan, president
of the Supreme Rabbinical tri-
bunal of Morocco. Other mem-
bers of the delegation received
by the King were David Amar,
Secretary General of the Coun-
cil of Jewish Communities in
Morocco; Meyer Obadia, presi-
dent of the Casablanca Jewish
Community; and Albert Dery,
president of the Rabat Jewish
Community.
