Grossberg of De- troit has been awarded a schol- arship grant for graduate train- ing at the School of Social Work of the University of Michigan by the National Scholarship Fund, a program sponsored by the Council of Jewish Federa- tions and Welfare Funds in co- operation with the Jewish Wel- fare Federation of Detroit and other Jewish community or- ganizations. Grossberg is one of 14 stu- dents who received grants this year ranging from $500 to $1,400, according to a joint announcement made this week by Max M. Fisher, president of the Detroit Federation, and Mrs. A. Louis Oresman, chairman of the CJFWF National Scholar- ship Committee. Grossberg, who has served as a group leader at the Detroit Jewish Center and as a research assistant at the Urban Research Laboratory at Wayne State Uni- versity, graduated from the University with a B.A. in Soci- ology.
