of Health and Malben. the Joint
Distribution Committee's med-
ical and welfare program in
Israel, through a psychiatric
trust fund shared by the two
agencies.
The fund is financed mainly
by JDC with United Jewish Ap-
peal funds.
The basic premise of the pro-
gram is that by early detection
and treatment many mental ill-
: nesses can be caught before
they become acute and necessi-
tate hospitalization.
More than a million attended
last year's Michigan State Fair.
More than that are expected at
this year's fair, which runs
through Sept. 2.
