mittee will hold a combined
picnic meeting Sunday at the
summer home of Judge and
Mrs. Ira G. Kaufman, at Union
Lake, Mich.
Judge Kaufman, president of
the ZOD, will chair the board
meeting and Carmi M. Slomo-
vitz, Balfour Concert chairman,
will conduct the Balfour Com-
mittee meeting.
A picnic luncheon will be
served. Members of the board
and the Balfour Committee are

Mrs. J. Stewart Linden of
Southfield, Judge and Mrs.
Joseph S. Linden of Owosso
and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard E.
Linden will host a. dinner party
for family and friends at the
Adas Shalom Synagogue. Their
11 grandchildreh will join in
the celebration.
The senior Lindens have
been residents of Detroit since
191.6 when they emigrated
from Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mrs. Linden has been a mem-
ber of many Jewish charitable
organizations throughout the
47 years of her Detroit resi-
dency. Mr. Linden, who re-
tired from his own business, is
now actively affiliated with his
son in the Linden Management
Co.
MRS. DAVID JACOBSON
Nancy Beth Dunitz was mar-
ried to David Sykes Jacobson
Aug. 10 in a ceremony perform-
ed by Rabbi Leon Fram and
Rabbi Robert M. Syme at Tem-
ple Israel.
Parents of the newlyweds are
Mr. and Mrs. Saul H. Dunitz,

Mrs. Herman A. Jacobson, 3626

The bride wore an ivory gown
of peau de soie designed with
a dome skirt and a chapel train.
The Belgian princess lace bod-
ice had a mandarin neck and
elbow-length sleeves. On her
head she wore a kerchief of
matching Belgian lace.
Serving her sister as matron
of honor was Mrs. Harvey B.
Rosenberg. Maid of honor was
Jane Jacobson, sister of the
bridegroom. Bridesmaids were
Carol Fine, cousin of the bride,
and Donna Rich.
• Richard Rosenthal served as
best man. Ushers were Stuart
Nathan, Michael M. Dunitz,
brother of the bride, David Na-
gusky, Harvey B. Rosenberg,
Peter Rothenberg and Dr. Mil-
ton E. Roth.
Following a honeymoon to
Puerto Rico and the Virgin Is-
lands, the couple will reside in
Ann Arbor.
The Detroit League, Chil-
dren's Asthma Research Insti-
tute and Hospital President,
Mrs. Samuel P. Baker, reports
that at the convention - held in
Denver "representing 115 chap-
ters, checks totalling $400,000
were presented to the Home.
An additional $100,000 must
be raised to make room for ad-
ditional space to house the
children on the waiting list
who are desperately ill with
intractable asthma. The home
houses 150 children who are
from the ages of 4 to 15 years.
They are kept in the non-sec-
tarian home from 18 months to
two years.
