The Blind Service Center of
Metropolitan Detroit announces.
that it offers as a free service
a scientific course of instrue-
tion in the use of the cane.
The agency is making this
service avilable to any blind
person in the tri-county area.
The method used was de-
veloped in World War II for
blinded veterans. It affords the
blind person the greatest possi-
ble freedom of movement and
safety. In addition, the remain-
ing senses of the individual—
hearing, touch and smell—are
developed to the point of maxi-
mum efficiency.
