A farewell exhibition for De-
troit artist and teacher Robert
Broner will be held Aug. 1-24
at the new Raven Gallery, 136
Brownell, Birmingham.
Broner, former art director
of the Jewish Center and teach-

Arts and Crafts, will be joining
the Art Department of the New
York City Community College
this September.
Broner's work is in the
permanent collection of the
Museum of Modern Art, Gug-
genheim Museum, Brooklyn

UHS High School Sets Record
With 63 Summer Enrollees

As the culminating activity
of its summer school session,
the students of the United -He-
brew High School presented in
Hebrew the humorous skit "The
Banishing of the Devil from
Uncle Ezra", an adaptation from
an Eternal Light script.
Joel Roth, instructor, trans-
lated the play into Hebrew and
was in charge of production be-
fore an audience of the entire
student body and their parents
on July 24.
Albert Elazar, superintendent
of the United Hebrew Schools
and Sylvan J. Ginsburgh, prin-
cipal of the United Hebrew
High School, reported that the
summer session reached a
record enrollment of 63 students
and that it sustained full at-
tendance and student interest
