Diane Saltz Wins 3rd Prize in Barton's National Writing Test Fourteen-year-old Diane Saltz, 17546 Avon, won third prize of a $50 U.S. Savings Bond in the national creative writing contest conducted by Barton's Candy Corporation. Her essay on "What Judaism Teaches Us About World Peace" competed against en- tries by students up to 16 years of age from almost a thousand religious schools in all 50 states. First prize in the contest was a round trip to Israel for two people. Temple Israel High School, Diane's school, will receive a $100 grant to its scholarship fund from Barton's as its share of third prize. Barton's Creative Writing Contest is an annual -event open to students of all religious schools.
