$50,000,000 Shopping

Simultaneous blasts of dyna-
mite 30 miles apart on June 18
initiated construction of identi-
cal major shopping centers in
Roseville and Livonia, repre-

gathered.
Immediately after the formal
ceremonies, Mayor Richard Dra-
ger of Roseville, in the com-
pany of Louis H. Schostak of
Schostak Brothers and Com-
pany, developers and leasing
agents, was transported from
the Macomb Mall location to
downtown Detroit by helicopter.
At the same time, another heli-
copter took off from the Livonia
Mall site, bringing Livonia
Mayor Harvey L. Moelke and
George R. Klein of Klein and
Shenkm an, Livonia Mall de-
velopers, to the Detroit gath-
ering.
Ed Carey, Acting Mayor of
Detroit, greeted the visiting
mayors on their arrival.
Full details 'of the two de-
velopments, were divulged at a
luncheon at Veterans Memorial
Building.
Location of the Livonia Mall
is Seven Mile and Middlebelt.
The Macomb Mall location • is
