Israeli Makes Scale Model of Biblical Temple Tel Aviv diamond cutter Moshe Levin has built an exact model replica of the temple built by the Israelites some 33 centuries ago. The task took him five years—thousands of hours work—and a great deal of money. The model, built on a scale of 1 to 60 (one centimeter to one cubit), is one meter long and a half-meter wide. It is now on exhibit at the Heichal Shlomo religious center in Je- rusalem. Levin said he built the model with the exact materials and to the specifications mentioned in the Torah. When in doubt he referred to the interpretations of Rashi. Included in the work are gold, emeralds, sapphires, dia- monds, agate, topaz and ame- thyst.
