New Beth Yehudah School Building New Beth Yehudah School Building go the 6ntire eivish Community of g)etroit: This is an urgent and serious call for immediate action in behalf of one of the greatest needs that face our people today. I appeal to all Detroit Jews to give us their support in an important project in behalf of our community. I appeal to you to assist us in securing .the necessary funds for the completion of the projected building on 101/2 Mile Road and Southfield. New facilities are vitally needed for the children of the Beth Yehudah Schools and its Day School — the oldest and largest in Detroit. These youngsters are the future leaders of our 'people. They are the future citizens of our American Jewish community and they must be given the best traditional education that can be made available for them under the most inviting conditions in an environment suitable for modern schooling. It is both the American and the Jewish traditions that beckon to us to make such a school facility available for our youth,- and we haVe confidence that we shall have the encouragement and support of all Detroit Jews Who are cognizant of the great need. We have- made available for our community large and beautiful synagogues, at great costs. Now we must make certain that these syhagogues will be utilized and filled by appreciative youth who will be loyal to our-faith and who will perpetuate the ideals of our elders. It is with pride that we are now selecting a. committee of participating Detroit leaders, to aid us in our campaign.. The task we have undertaken is a holy one. It is sacred in its scope and it aims to fill a need that must not be overlooked. We appeal to you to assist us in this great task. Give us your aid, and we shall emerge as a community that knows how to honor and respect its heritage. President
