Council-Affiliated Organizations Bar-Ilan Women's to Learn Programming Techniques Semi-Annual. Fete Jason Tickton, director of music at Temple Beth El and a member of the Wayne State University faculty, Joseph Edel- man, of the Jewish Community Council staff, and Dr. Frances R. Cousens, research analyst of the Great Cities Program for School Improvement, will head- line the Community Council's Annual Program Planners Insti- tute 8:15 p.m. Monday at the Jewish Center. The Institute is designed to help strengthen Council-affili- ated organizations by suggest- ing ideas for the development of interesting and effective programming. A workshop on the use of music in organizational pro- gramming will be led by Jason Tickton. These will. include program use of recordings and artists. The methods for achiev- ing the fullest use of films and other audio-visual materials will be the subject of a work- shop conducted by Joseph Edelman. Dr. Frances Cousens will lead a workshop on dis- cussion techniques, ' including buzz sessions, role playing and "brainstorming." Following the workshop sessions, a problem panel mod- erated by Hubert J. Sidlow, co-chairman of the Council's Internal Relations Committee, will answer specific questions relating to organizational pro- gramming problems. In addi- tion, specialists will be avail- able for consultation and in- formation. The Institute will also make it possible for those attending to share program ideas and • experiences which have proved to be successful in their respective organiza- tions. The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Am, under the chairman- ship of Mrs. Sol Carr, will serve as hostesses at a social hour at the conclusion of the program. Other hostesses will include Mesdames David David- son, Irving King, and Robert Sovel. Furniture Club Golf Outing Will Benefit Underpriviledged Kids The 40th annual golf outing sponsored by the Furniture Club of Detroit will be held Tuesday at Western Golf -and Country Club. Included in the day's program will be golfing, swimming and softball games with hundreds of prizes to be _distributed.
