at Wayne State University will
sponsor special campus artivi-
ties Monday through Friday to
benefit the Children's Leuke-
mia Foundation of Michigan.
The events will be launched
by presentation ceremonies
Monday of Mayor Jerome P.
Cavanagh's proclamation for
"Sammy. Week in Detroit" May
20-24.
Scheduled are a campus shoe
shine on Monday, a gimmick
and novelty sale on Tuesday, an
auction Wednesday in the
Wayne Mall, a hootenanny
12:30 p.m. Thursday in the
Community Arts Auditorium
and a "Penny Day" on Friday,
during which students will be
asked to contribute -their pen-
nies.
Proceeds totaling more than
$1,000 were given to the Chil-
dren's Leukemia Foundation by
the Sammies as a result of last
year's week-long efforts. The
fraternity hopes to double the
amount this year.
