Barbara Bercutt of Omaha was honored at a recipe luncheon
given recently at the home of Mrs. Morris A. Fishkin for 16 guests.
Favors and decorations were designed by Mrs. Wilhelmina Sanow
of Allen Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Ben-Zvi Harrison of Ramat Yochanan,
Israel, arrived in Detroit this week for a visit with his family—
the Harrisons, Haymans, Keers and Mandels. They are the house
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Keer, 18619 Steel. Meyer Ben-Zvi
left Detroit for Israel 35 years ago, at the age of 19, with the
earliest group of local Halutzim. He settled in Ramat Yochanan-
the settlement named in honor of South African General Jan
Christian Smuts who was one of the leading world Christian sup-
porters of the Zionist movement—and was among its builders into
the present successful kibbutz. The Meyer Ben-Zvis' daughter, son
and three grandchildren reside in Israel.
The Sherman Family Club will meet Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Gordon, 18938 Roselawn.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rome (Sharon Pohl) of Syracuse, N. Y.,
both formerly of Detroit, are visiting their parents and will cele-
brate the 75th birthday of their grandmother, Florence Zorn.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Binder and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Binder
will give an Oneg Shabbat today in honor of the 40th wedding anni-
versary of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Binder, at Cong. Beth
Israel of Flint.
The Fleishman Family Club recently celebrated its 35th anni-
versary with a dinner-dance attended by 150 persons.
The Ramblewood Swimming Club of Farmington has elected
Dr. Nathan Saginaw as president of a new slate of officers. They
include George Segal, vice-president; Mrs. A. Scheuer and Mrs.
S. Wittenberg, secretaries; Max Rubin, treasurer; and Eugene
Letvin, Israel Cohan, Marvin Cornfield, Murray Kahn, Mrs. H.
Kronick and Leo Lisker, board members. Joseph Paz is club

Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
will hold its annual election
and installation of officers 12:30

duct a tour of the new sanctu-
