Earnings per share for the 1963 quarter were 26 cents as compared with the 17 cents earned in the same quarter last year — an improve- ment of 9 cents per share. Consolidated net income for the 39 weeks ended March 30 was $1,615,475 after provision of $1,775,000 for federal income taxes. This is a 6% increase over the $1,522,591 earned dur- ing the 40 weeks ended March 31, 1962.
