Display Wins Award

Detroiter Eric Lind's display
"The Story of a Movement" won
a special award as part of the
Judaica Historical Philatelic So-
ciety exhibit at Interpex-63 held
recently at the Hilton-Statler in
New York.
The display documented in 80
pages of poster stamps, papers,
letters, clippings and photos the
story of the movement against
anti-Semitism founded in Vienna
30 years ago by Irene Harand,
now living in the United States.
She attended the exhibit, along
with other members of the move-
ment who paid tribute to com-
rades who lost their lives in the
Nazi holocaust.

Hold Dance Workshop

Three distinctly different

The Social Singles will spon-
sor a three-hour dance workshop
in collaboration with the Jack
Barnes Dance Studio 8 p.m. Sun-
day at the Jewish Center.
Nick and Claudia Dean, in-
structors for Jack Barnes, will
teach the Fox Trot, Bossa Nova,
Cha:Cha, and include the basic
steps for the Twist and Swing.
There will be three one-hour
sessions with intermission for re-
freshments. The first session will
begin promptly at 8 p.m.
This program is for single
people between the ages of 21
and 35.
