He added: "Religion must be armed not only with resolve and faith but what may be equally essential in this con- text—the rich and sovereign quality of humility." During the coming year, some 750,000 pounds ($250,000) has been allocated for synagogues from government funds and other sources including the Jewish Restitution Successor Organiza- tion, the Silverman Trust and Heichal Shlomo, the Supreme Religious Center. Ac- cording to the age-old laws, the entire process of the matzo bak- ing must be completed within 18 minutes. The group was accompanied through the ceremony and oper- ation by Mel Golbert, General Sales Manager of the company, and Richard Cohn, son of Erich Cohn, president of Goodman. The company produces a va- riety of matzos and matzo prod- ucts, all strictly Kosher for Pass- over, as well as for year-round use. Israel Wins Medal for Fair Pavilion GUATEMALA CITY, (JTA) —Israel won a gold medal and a special citation for its pavilion at the second international ex- position in Guatemala. The medal was handed by President Ydigoras to Joshua Shai, the Israel Ambassador. Some 500,000 persons visited the Israel stand which was also visited by officials of major Guatemalan firms and directors of the Chamber of Commerce. The business visitors, express- ing admiration for the exam- ples of Israel industrial ability, expressed belief that this would lead to greater trade between the two countries. A PASSOVER MESSAGE Moe Leiter Once again we have arrived at the time of the Passover, that most ancient of religious celebrations . .. important not only as a part of Judaism, but also as a home ceremonial and as a remainder of our belief in the sanctity of the family. It is good to look deeply into the various meanings and significances of such events. Perhaps to do so enables us to return to our current problems with enriched hope and faith, rededicating ourselves to the completion of today's tasks with fresh vigour and enthusiasm. On this occasion we, as insurance people, do feel the inspiration to dedicate ourselves anew to our role in contemporary life as providers of financial support to families in times of their greatest need. And we pledge ourselves to continue to serve our clients and friends with sincerity and stead- fastness, helping them acquire security for their most precious treasures . . their wives and children. At this time also we extend to all our sincerest wishes for a happy Passover. MOE LEITER AND ASSOCIATES 1766 Penobscot Bldg.
