The League of Jewish Wo-
men's Organizations will hold
its last community relations
meeting of the year noon March
14 in the lecture hall of Sinai
Hospital, announces Mrs. Martin
Naimark, president.
Guest speaker will be Dr.
Norman Rosensweig, chief of
the Department of Psychiatry
for Sinai Hospital. The theme
of the program will be "Mental
Health — Are
You Aware?"
Programs and
trends will be
the, topic of
this work in
our commu-
nity.
In charge of
the session
are Mesdames
Mrs.
Sol Hammer-
stein, vice- Hammerstein
president in charge of commu-
nity relations; Jack Hornfield
and Maurice Weiner, co-chair-
men; and Philip Bernstein, co-
ordinator.
Mrs. Irvin Hermanoff, presi-
dent of Sinai Hospital Women's
Guild, will deliver the invoca-
tion.
There will be short guided *
tours of the hospital at 12:15
p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
All presidents, community re-

board members, case workers
or delegates are asked to attend.

Taiber, Head of Israel
Investment Authority
Samuel Frankel will be the
host at a brunch honoring Abra-
ham Taiber, director, Israel In-
vestment Authority, 11:30 a.m.
Sunday at Darby's.
Taiber will meet with busi-
nessmen and community leaders
and discuss the expanding de-
velopment of Israel's tourist in-
dustry and the challenge the
country faces to meet its needs.
One of these needs is added
hotel rooms to accommodate the
more than 300,000 tourists ex-
pected anually by 1965.
Already under construction
and scheduled to open its doors
in late 1964 is the $10 million
Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. Frankel
is a member of the board of
Israel Hotels International, Inc.,
owners of the Tel Aviv Hilton.
The new facility will be Is-
rael's l a r g e s t. Standing 17
stories, it will contain 446 rooms
with provision made so that this
number may be increased to
1,000.

of the Zionist Organization of
Detroit, headed by Dr. Bernard
Weston and Carmi Slomovitz,
announces plans for "Z Month
—Membership Recruitment
Month," to be marked national-
ly March 15-April 15,
Judge Ira G. Kaufman, presi-
dent of the ZOD, issued an ap-
peal to all those, "whose hearts
are attuned to Israel's needs
and aspirations" to join the
ranks of the ZOD. He called
attention to a statement issued
by Dr. Max Nussbaum, presi-
dent of the ZOA, asserting that
"The infusion of new blood into
the lifestream of our movement
was essential for the develop-
ment of an informed and-edu-
cated new Jewish generation

Will Speak Here
Dr. Isaac Berenblum, head of
the department of experimental
biology at the Weizmann Insti-
tue of Science in Rehovoth, Is-
rael, will discuss "Some Recent
Experimental Studies on the
Causative . Mechanism of Tumor
Formation," 8 p.m. Monday in
Room B of the McGregor Memo-
rial Conference Center.
Berenblum has an interna-
tional reputation for research on
chemical and radiation factors in
the production of cancer. His re-
search career includes appoint-
ments at Oxford. University, Na-
tional Cancer Institute (Beth-
esda) and the Weizmann Insti-
tute. He is visiting this country
as a participant in an interna-
tional symposium on cancer.
His talk is one of a series of
lectures sponsored by the Wayne
State University chapter of the
Sigma Xi, national scientific hon-
orary society.
