tions have been announced by
synagogues and other groups in
the community.
HILLEL DAY SCHOOL will
hold a Purim carnival 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Park
Branch of the Jewish Center.
Performances by ventriloquist
John Osborn will be given at
noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Prizes,
lunches and refreshments will
highlight the event. Friends are
invited. The P.T.O. is sponsor of
the carnival.
CONG. SHAAREY SHOMAYIM
will hold a Purim party for chil-
dren of all ages with haman-

A new cantata 'for Purim will
be presented in its premiere
performance 7:30 p.m. Saturday
at Temple Emanu-El.
The music, entitled "At Such
a Time as This," was composed
by Mrs. Albert M. Stutz, direc-
tor of the Temple's junior choir.
The narrative was written, by
Rabbi Milton Rosenbaum, Tem-
ple spiritual leader.
The cantata will be presented
by the junior choir of 59 chil-
dren under the direction of Mrs.
Stutz. A special service, written
for the occasion by Rabbi Ros-
enbaum will be read.

The Abraham Reisen Jewish
School of the Workmen's Circle
will hold its annual Purim carni-
val 11 a.m. Sunday at the school
building, 18340 W. Seven Mile.
There will be games, prizes
and a costume contest. The stu-
dents may bring friends. Lunch-
eon will be served.
