The fifth in a series of inter-
faith luncheons sponsored by
the Christian Business Men's
Committee of Detroit will be
held noon Thursday at Boesky's
Restaurant, 20231 James Couz-
ens.
Dr. Roy L. Aldrich, president
of Detroit Bible College, will
give an illustrated lecture on
recent developments in Israel
based on a recent tour of the
Holy Land.
Those planning to attend
should call the CBMC office,
837-7400, not later than Wed-
nesday.

400 Delegates Take Part in 3-Day
Detroit Jewish Youth Conference

Commencing with a Sabbath
program tonight, the Detroit
Jewish Youth Conference, spon-
sored by the ,Jewish Community
Center and the Jewish National
Fund, will hold its three-day ses-
sions at the Center.
More than 400 participants are
expected from all local youth
movements, including the con-
gregational groups.
Guest speakers at the confer-
ence will, be Shimon H. Moratt,
counselor on labor problems in
the Israel Embassy in Washing-
ton, and David Brodsky, director
of the Jewish Agency's youth
department.
Moratt, who was born in 1924,
in Vienna, where he received his
early school education, la t e r
studied in Scotland and in Eng-
land, where he was active in
the Zionist movement, and set-
tled in Palestine in 1947, joining
Ein Gev village. He was asso-
ciated with the Labor Zionist
Contacts Office and became a
lieutenant in the Israel armed

forces.
He has been on missions for
the Jewish Agency in this coun-
try, served as secretary of the
international department for Ma-
pai, was Israel Labor Attache in
Brussels, London and The Hague
and became Embassy Counsellor
at Brussels before receiving his
Washington assignment.
