olution to intensify the efforts
of several thousand Jewish
landsmanshaften and other Jew-
ish groups on behalf of the
1963 fund-raising campaign of
the United Jewish Appeal was
adopted at a conference of the
UJA's Council of Jewish Or-
ganizations. More than 500 del-
egates representing the groups
affiliated with the Council at-
tended the conference.
During the 25 years of exist-
ence, the Council raised among
small Jewish groups in New
York more than $50,000,000, it
was reported. The delegates de-
cided that the Council would
hold its spring conference this
year in Jerusalem.
