Israeli, Jewish Agency Spokesmen to Address
Three-Day Youth Conference Here Feb. 15-17

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Monica Ave. recently left for
a six-week trip to Santa Monica and San Francisco, Calif.
Bodzin Family Club will meet Sunday at the home of Yetta
Bodzin, 17170 Meyers. The family will welcome Carol Leider-
man who is engaged to Eugene Bodzin.
Auslander Family Club will meet Sunday at the home of
the David Bernsteins, 18077 Cherrylawn. The family will give
a kitchen shower for Linda Bernstein, fiance of David Gross.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weindling, formerly of Detroit and
Oak Park and now living at 335 S. Cloverdale, Los Angeles,
Calif., this month will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
They have four daughters, 10 grandchildren and two great
grandchildren. Mr. Weindling was a Dearborn haberdasher until
his retirement several years ago. A party in honor of their
golden anniversary will be held in Los Angeles. Attending will
be Mr. and Mrs. Harold Haber, Mrs. Sidney L. Shayne, Mrs.
Morris Swibel of Skokie, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaynes of
Hollywood, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. George Karebnick and Mr. and
Mrs. Nathan Weindling.
Dr. and Mrs. Richard J. Bayles of Livonia are entertaining
Sunday at a party to meet newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Martin Eller
(Lee Stern) of Pontiac. •
Robert Wolfe has resumed his studies at the Chicago College
of Osteopathy after returning from the American Osteopathic
Association convention at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach,
Fla.
Fourteen-year-old Beverly Elen Kent has been named class
valedictorian of her graduating class at Winship Junior High
School, 14717 Curtis. The daughter of Common Pleas Judge and
Mrs. George D. Kent, of 18047 Prest, Elen attained an all-A record
during her junior high school career. Miss Kent will be striving to
maintain this record as a freshman at Henry Ford High School.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Monte Vista Ave., who cele-
brated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 2, were enter-
tained at a family party given by their children, Mr. and Mrs.
I. Murray Jacobs, at their home on Berkshire Dr., Birmingham.

announces for its first one-man
show of the 1963 season an ex-
hibition of paintings by ABRA-
HAM RATTNER. The exhibition
will open Sunday, and continue
through March 2.

On Feb. 15, a concert of folk
music will be presented by
Carol Marsh and John Bensmil-
ler in the gymnasium at the Lee
M. Thurston High Sch601 in
Redford Township at 8 p.m. All
proceeds from the concert will
be used to finance a field trip
to Mexico for 9th and 10th
grade students in the district.
The program will include folk
songs of many types, primarily
from Mexico and the United
States.

Detroit Musicians League will
present, in a joint recital, GIZI
SZANTO, pianist, and CAM-
ERON McLEAN, baritone, ac-
companied by ADALYN VEN-
MAN, Feb. 19, 8:30 p.m., at the
Art Institute. Proceeds will go
for the maintenance and schol-
arship fund.

The Detroit Premiere of "TO
KILL A MOCKINGBIRD" will
be held at the Mercury Theater
at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.
20, to benefit the Leprosy Re-
lief Society. A champagne after-
glow will follow in the theater
foyer at 11 p.m. Ticket orders
are already arriving at premiere

project to establish the Alice
and Jan Peerce Scholarship
Fund are Dr. Louis Finkel-
stein, chancellor of the Jewish
Theological Seminar y of

will be set up for deserving
students in the Cantors In-
stitute of the Jewish Theologi-
cal Seminary. The Seminary,
