begin at 10:30 a.m., will be in
the form of a breakfast gather-
ing. Chairman will be Ben Har-
old, co-chairman of the Hista-
drut trades division, and a mem-
ber of Farband Branch 593.
Dr. Teller, author of 'Scape-
goat of Revolution" and "The
Kremlin, the Jews and the Mid-
dle East," is preparing a new
Bantam book for publication
soon: "The Jews: An Informal
Biography of a People." Teller,
scholarly editor who has writ-
ten and lectured extensively on
Jewish history, does not want
the fate of Soviet Jews to be
made a football in the Cold
War. He thinks certain legiti-
mate demands can be made on
Premier Khrushchev who, he
says, is sensitive about charges
of discrimination.
Teller, who was born in the
Western Ukraine but has lived
in America since childhood,
says that the Ukraine today ac-
tually is permeated by a "Nazi-
type hatred of Jews, and the
Russian Orthodox Church, still
very powerful there, does noth-
ing to stop it." Teller's princi-
pal interest on his Russian trip
was to find out how the aver-
age Soviet Jew there fared.
Morris Lieberman, chairman
of the Histadrut campaign,
states that the campaign climate
is excellent. He has urged all
Histadrut volunteers to cover
their cards promptly and bring
the returns to the roll call
meetings this Saturday evening
or Sunday •morning.
Isadore L. Shrodeck, financial
secretary of the Detroit Hista-
drut Campaign, will present a
detailed report on the cam-.
paign's progress.

lecture on the Dead Sea with
films. Chairman of the program

B'Shvat, according to President
