As president of the Bess-
arabian Council, he heads its
many campaigns on behalf of
Israel. This council is now build-
ing a cultural center, "Beth
Bessarabia," in Tel Aviv.
Auerbach recently purchased
a home in Israel and is plan-
ning to settle there this year.
The Detroit Israel Histadrut
Campaign is assisting the Far-
band City Committee in prepar-
ations for this. event honoring

Auerbach, since he devoted many
years on behalf of the Histadrut.
The chairman of the evening
will be David Sislin. Movsas
Goldoftas will present greetings.
Refreshments and a social hour
will follow. There will be a
minimal donation of 50c. For
