$200,000 goal in Israel
Bond cash sales for this year
was adopted by the 'Metropol-
itan Detroit Bnai Brith Lodges
and Chapters at a dinner meet-
ing and seminar held Jan. 14,
at Holiday Manor, Oak Park.
The Bnai Brith Israel Bond
program will be carried on in
the April-May period. Five
events scheduled are:
Einstein Lodge and Chapter
on Saturday evening, at Gemi-
luth Chassodim Hall, with Mort
Fr e e m a n, concert-singer, as
guest artist; the combined Bnai
Brith Israel Night of 15 lodges
and chapters on April 28, also
with Mort Freeman; the Israel
celebration to be hosted -- by
Marshall Lodge and Chapter
and co-sponsored by Keidan
Lodge and Chapter, Israel
Lodge and Chapter, Tikvah
Lodge and Chapter, Detroit
Lodge and Chapter, Brandeis

Meeting of Bar-Ilan
Women on Feb. 7

The first meeting in 1963 of
the Detroit Chapter of Ainerican-
Women for Bar-Ilan University
will take place Thursday, Feb.
7, 12:30 p.m., at Kozin's Cater-
ing, 20340 W. 7 Mile.
Mrs. Max Stollman, national
chairman, announces that Rabbi
Samuel Stollman of Windsor
will be guest speaker. A musical
progrim will feature Miss Arella
Barley, Israeli entertainer. A
dessert luncheon will be served.
With the new library under
construction at Bar-Ilan Uni-
versity campus at Ramat-Gan,
the book tribute program report
will be given by Mrs. Herman
K. Cohen.
Bar-I•an University, which
started seven years ago with a
student body of 75, now has 1,100
students and a faculty of 140.
Graduation was held on Dec.
27, when academic degrees were
conferred on 65 students, 54
receiving B.A degrees and 11
M.A. degrees.
In addition to Detroit, there
are Bar-Han Women's Chapters
in New York, Cleveland and
Montreal.
The Detroit Women's Division,
which was organized two years
ago, has a membership of 300,
of whom 160 are life members.
Members and friends are in-
vited to attend the Feb. '7 re;
port meeting. There will be no
solicitation of funds.

the Motze.
