THE DETROIT JEWIS H NEWS — Friday, January 25, 1963 -- 16 Detroit Council's Yiddish Progrant to Feature Author Jacob Glatstein Plans for a special program with Jacob Glatstein, internation- ally renowned Yiddish poet and author, are being made by the Yiddish Culture Committee of the Jewish Community Council, it was announced by Jack Mala- mud, committee chairman, and Irving Pokempner and Sidney M. Shevitz, chairman and co-chair- man respectively of the Culture Commission. The literary cul- tural event will be held 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Jewish Center. Tickets may be obtained from the Council office at 163 Madi- son, WO 2-6710. The program, which will be conducted entirely in Yiddish, is the first .of several to be pre- sented by the Council's Yiddish Committee. DAVISON Windsor Organizations Sign Pre-Campaign Pact for Distribution A fair distribution of funds has been guaranteed with a 1963 campaign agreement set by the executive of the Windsor Jewish Community Council be- tween the Council and the joint fund-raising committees of the Canadian Jewish Congress and the Zionist organizations of Canada. The pre-campaign agreement stipulates that: 1. -Campaign expenses are ab- sorbed as part of the total Com- munity. Council operation local- ly. The suggested percentage breakdown provides 52 per cent for local needs, 45 per cent for overseas needs and three per cent for national organizations. 2.
