Jeri's WOULD YOU LIKE PARIS, (JTA)—The possibil- ity that matzoh will be freely baked and distributed in Russia for next Passover was raised in a letter from the Russian sec- tion in Moscow of the France- USSR Friendship League. The failure of the state bak- eries to bake matzohs for the 1962 Passover evoked worldwide protest against the Soviet re- gime. The letter was sent to Andre Blumel, former president of the French Zionist Federation and currently one of the key lead- ers of the French section of the Friendship League. The note stressed that "there is nothing in Soviet legislation to prevent the baking and distri- bution of matzoh." Blumel, who quit the French Zionist presi- dency in a dispute over his pro- Soviet attitudes, raised the issue during a recent trip to the So- viet Union. The note definitely stated that since there was no legisla- tion ban against Matzoh, it would be freely baked and dis- tributed, presumably for the coming Passover. Blumel indi- cated that he would raise the issue again with Soviet officials THREE BLOOD BROTHERS, all dentists, played prominent OPEN 7 DAYS • WE DELIVER roles in the recent Mosaic Ma- UN 4-8553 864-9784 sonic Lodge installation and a mighty proud mother was Rose Starman . . .
