ceptions, to report their ad-

cial start next Tuesday.
A series of pre-campaign ac-
-•tivities are drawing to a close,
setting the stage for the opening
, event Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. at
Labor Zionist Institute.
According to Morris Lieber-
man, . chairman of the Detroit
Israel- Histadrut campaign, vol-

unteer workers are making an
extra effort to reach at least
50% of the 1963 campaign goal
of $150,000 by Tuesday.

Katz, Consul-General of Israel in
New York since July, 1962. For
the last four years, Katz served
as chief secretary to the Israeli;
government. He was educated at
the Herzlia High School of Tel
Aviv and studied in the Depart-
ment of Journalism at the Uni- '
versity of Warsaw. He was
amongst the founders of a
group of kibbutzim formed by
graduates of Israeli colleges.
For 18 years, Mr. and Mrs.
Katz have been members of Kib-
butz Bet HaShitta in the Valley
of Jezreel.
