Susan Marsha King was wed
to Gary M. Roggin in a cere-
mony performed Dec. 23 by
Rabbis Morris Adler and Jacob
Segal and Cantor Jacob Sonen-
klar at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
The newlyweds are the chil-
dren of Mr. and Mrs. Sol King
of Oakman Blvd. and Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Roggin of Cherry-
lawn Ave.
The marriage rites were the
first performed in the congre-
gation's new sanctuary in South-
field. The bride's father is the
building's architect.
The bride wore a Balenciaga
gown of ivory pure silk peau de
soie. It was fashioned with a
detachable re-embroidered Alen-
con lace jacket which covered
the bodice of the floor-length,
sheath ball gown. It was de-
signed with a Sabrina neckline
and a fitted bodice which was
frosted with the same French
lace. The sheath skirt was ap-
pliqued with a deep hemline of
the re-embroidered lace with a
detachable cathedral train ex-
tending from the back waist.
She carried white roses on her
confirmation Bible.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Samuel Weiner, sister of the
bride. Gail Susan Roggin, sister
of the bridegroom, was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Judith
Price of Chicago and Sheila
Chanin, Marilyn Lucas, Barbara
Hillman and Rhoda Gould.
Dr. Samuel Weiner, brother-
in-law of the bride, was best
man. Ushers were Ronald Mal-
kin and Jerome Stewart, both
of Chicago, Bob Wilensky of
East Lansing, Michael Aller of
Royal Oak and Edward Stein.
Judy and Jody Craig, twin
cousins of the bride, were
flower girls. Jamie Craig, cousin
of the bride, was ring-bearer.
The couple departed for a
Miami Beach, Fla., honeymoon,
and will reside in Ann Arbor,
where the bridegroom attends
the University of Michigan
Medical School, and the bride
is a student in the College of
Literature, Science and the
Arts.
Final arrangements • have
been completed for the Jewish
Community Council's institute
for presidents and new dele-
gates to be held 10:30 a.m. Jan.
6 at the Jewish Center, 18100
Meyers, it was announced by
Irving I. Katz, chairman. The
theme of this year's Institute
will be "Community Process-
Community Goals."
The Institute will be address-
ed by Katz, Stanley J. Winkel-
man, president of the Council,
and Dr. Samuel Krohn, vice
president and chairman of the
internal relations c o mmittee.
The program portion of the
Institute will include a "Panel
of Presidents" in which coop-
erative methods for solving
problems of community-wide
importance will be discussed. It
will be moderated by Hubert J.
Sidlow, a member of the Coun-
cil's executive committee and

CANBERRA, Australia —
Minister of Trade J. McEwin
announced here Wednesday that
an Australian mission will go to
Israel early next year to survey
the volume of trade between the
two countries.
The mission will be headed
by Baron Snider, a member of
parliament and a business con-
sultant. and will include C. Dar-
veall, general manager of the
Australian and New Zealand
Bank, Ltd., a market survey
expert and representative of the
Trade Department here.
