THE LOST NEW SHOE item-
ed in last week's column has
found its mate and happy owner
. . . Reader Bess Mills called
and has been informed to pick
it up at Darby's .. . The shoes
are originals, bought to match
a bag, and the loss was adver-
tised to no avail in the Detroit
News . . . However, all is well
now and the thrilled Bess is
donating a reward to charity.

WHILE SERVICING Dr. H.
Mellen's office on Greenfield
recently, Seymour Blustein, of
Testagar and Co., was surprised
by someone he hadn't seen for
over 25 years . . . He was just
a youngster then, living on
Richton and LaSalle, but the
elderly woman who he only
knows as Mrs. Axelrod, recog-
nized him immediately . . . "It's
'a good thing I kept my hat on,"
says Seymour. "In those days
I had hair!"
