forum here.
Mrs. Laura Grimond, wife of
the Liberal party leader and a
member of the executive of the
Women's Liberal Federation,
told the forum that the bias was
displayed not against the Jewish
pupils • who did get in but in
the admission policies of the
schools. She said that "in some
cases there is a tacit quota of
10 per cent."
She added that legislation was
not the remedy for such bias.
She suggested that enlighten-
ment and education "in the
widest sense" was the solution.
Martin Savitt, vice-chairman of
the Association of Jewish Vet-

a multi-racial society and it was

it was offered for sale ; it was
reported here from Moscow.
Prof. Boris Kuznetzov, a leading
Soviet scientist, is author of
the new volume. A second vol-
ume on Einstein is expected to
be published in the Soviet
Union.
Until recently, Einstein was
in disfavor in the Soviet Union.
The Soviet "Philosophical Dic-
tionary," published in 1952, has
no entry under Einstein's name
and in its article on "relativity"
attacked the Jewish scientist
for "preaching nonsense."
