night, a tour of Detroit and a luncheon for the ladies, in
addition to the business sessions. A fashion show will - be
featured at the ladies luncheon. Planning for the event are,
from left, Mesdames Benjamin Brand, B. Orecklin, Norman
R. Schakne, auxiliary president; and Morris Bachman, luncheon
chairman. Convention reservations are being handled by
Dr. Herbert Fishbein, DI 1-5570.

Mrs. Gilbert -D. Schoenfield,
president.
Miss Greenspon received her
early voice training from Dan
Frohman, director of the Music
Study Club Choral Group, be-
fore she was graduated from
Cass Technical High School. She
continued her studies with for-
mer opera star Chase Baromee
and Josef Blatt at the Univer-
sity of Michigan, where she re-
ceived her master's degree in
voice. While there, in 1960, she
was presented the $2,500 Detroit
Grand Opera-Grinnell Scholar-
ship Award.
Miss Greenspon has appeared
with the Detroit Opera Theater,
in the Chautauqua Festival,
with the Deteroit Symphony Or-
chestra, in summer stock in
Flint and Detroit and in off-
Broadway productions. The Mu- .
sic Study Club provided schol-
arship assistance to the singer
during her college years.
Proceeds from the concert are
used also to give young artists
the opportunity to appear in
concert with music critics in
attendance, to assist the Club
in bringing morale - building
programs to such institutions as
the Jewish Home for Aged and
various hospitals and to grant
scholarships, books, musical in-
struments and electronic equip-
ment to the Hebrew University,
Bar-Ilan University and other
schools and institutions in
Israel.
Among the scholarships ad-
ministered by the Music Study
Club are the Music Study Club
Scholarship Fund, the Esther
Allan Fund for Summer Schol-
arship (sponsored by Mrs. Nor-
man Allan), the Susan Kesler
Kim elm an Memorial Fund
