Phillip Stollman, national ,
chairman of the American Com-
mittee for Bar-Ilan University,
announced this week that a
movement has been launched
here to enroll Detroit's support
to provide 100 deficit scholar-
ships at the university in Gamat

Stollman explained that the
cost of providing an education
for each student at Bar-Ilan is
$1,700 annually, and that the
deficit incurred, after account-
ing for tuition income and
Israel government subsidies is
$500 a year.
"At our annual dinner on
Dec. 5,-- at Cobo Hall, we plan
to honor one of our distin-
guished leaders, Irwin I. Cohn,
with a Bar-Ilan University Fel-
lowship," Stollman said. "We
hope, in conjunction with that
honor, as a mark of recognition
from Mr. Cohn's fellow citizens,
to announce the gift of 100
scholarships — as a token of
respect from Detroit Jewry and
as an encouragement to the
university."

"To attain our aim," Stollman
said, "we are now forming

be addressed by Dr. Tuvia Bar-
