Rabbis Plan Sermons to Honor Dr. Finkelstein The Conservative Rabbis of Michigan will honor the Dec. 3 visit of the Chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Dr. Louis Finkelstein, by delivering the following Sab- bath sermons on Conservative Judaism: Nov. 23, Rabbi A. Irving Schnip- per, of Beth Moses Synagogus, will speak on "Conservation of Judism." • Nov. 24, Rabbi Moses Lehrman of Bnai Moshe, "A Citadel of Jewish Learning." Dec. 1, "Not the Middle of the Road but the High Road" will be delivered by Rabbi Morris Adler at the Shaarey Zedek. Dec. 1, "American Judaism Has A Future" will be the topic of Rabbi Benj. H. Gorrelick at Beth Aaron. Dec. 1, "The Most Important Jew- ish Address in America" is the topic chosen by Rabbi Jacob E. Segal of Adas Shalom. Paying tribute to the Diamond Jubilee of the founding of Con- servative Judaism and its chan- cellor will also be Rabbi Milton Arm of Ahavas Achim, Rabbi Is- rael Goodman of Bnai Israel of Pontiac, Rabbi Mordecai Halpern of Beth Shalom and the Livonia Jewish Congregation. In the outstate Michigan com- munities the following Friday night sermons will be delivered: Louis Finkelstein, chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, presents to Sol Eisenberg, Detroit in- dustrialist, the scroll which accompanied the Louis Marshall Memorial Medal conferred upon Eisenberg for his "continuing effort to further the spiritual, cultural and ethical well-being of the Jewish community."
