Shapero School Elects Officers

hold its first Oneg Shabbat 8:30
p.m. today at the Hayim Green-
berg Center:
Guest speaker will be Lily
Beyrack-Cohen, who will present
a talk on the "Political Climate
in Israel."
Lily Beyrack-Cohen is the
"shlicha" of Moetzet Hapoalot to
Pioneer Women; Israeli edu-
cator; editor; lecturer and Labor
Zionist leader. She is the direc-
tor of the Department for Eng-
lish Speaking Countries in the
thud Olami (Wbrld Federation
of Labor Zionists). She is also
the Editor of "Israel Seen From
Within," the supplement of "The
Jewish Frontier". She was one
of the founders of the English,
Jewish Labor Zionist Youth

Representing more than 50 women who will be "buzz
leaders" at the 13th annual Institute of the Women's Divi-
sion, Jewish Welfare Federation, Wednesday, Nov. 28, at
the Jewish Center, are, left to right: Mesdames Hugh Green-
berg, Arthur L. Gould, Harry E. August and Sidney Weis-
man. The Institute will be an all-day seminar designed to
present a complete picture of Jewish immigration, past,
present and future.

The 10th Annual Meeting of
the Corporation of Sinai Hos-
pital of Detroit will be held in
the main lecture room of the
hospital 8:15 p.m. Nov. 27, it
was announced by Nate S. Sha-
pero; president.
Dr. Piero P. Foa, professor
of pathology at Wayne State
University Medical School and
director of research at Sinai,
will deliver the main address.
Eight members of the board
of trustees will be elected at
the meeting. The nominations
committee has submitted the
following names for election:
Charles N. Agree, Tom Borman,
Jacob A. Citrin, Sol Eisenberg,
Maxwell Jospey, Abe Kasle,
Harry C. Schaefer and Leonard
N. Simons.
. Eisenberg and Schaefer are
new nominees, while the rest
have been nominated for re-
election. Election to the board
of trustees is for a five-year
term. The community is invited
to attend the meeting, which
will be followed by a reception.
Election of officers and direc-
tors of Sinai's Shapero School of
Nursing was held.
Re-elected for three - year
terms on the board were Mrs.
Irvin Hermanoff, Bertha Robin-
- son, Mrs. Alan Schwartz and
Mrs. Joseph Welt. The follow-
ing slate of officers was ap-
proved: president, Mrs. Julian
H. Krolik; vice-president, ,Mrs.
Isidore Sobeloff; secretary,
