Sol Eisenberg of Detroit Gets
Marshall Medal; Lehman, Rifkind


Among Other Recipients of Honor

NEW YORK, (JTA) — For-
mer Senator Herbert H. Lehman
and six other prominent Jewish
leaders were presented with the
Louis Marshall Memorial 1VIedal,
of the Jewish Theological Semin-
ary of America, for their "con-
tinuing effort to further the spir-
itual, cultural and ethical well-
being of the Jewish community."
The medals were presented by
Peter I. Feinberg at a dinner at
which Chief Justice Earl Warren,
as guest of honor, delivered an
address on ethics and the law.

were former Federal Judge
Simon H. Rifkind; Sol Eisenberg
of Detroit; Louis Stein of Phila-
delphia; Benjamin H. Swig of
San Francisco; Myron Weinstein
of Chicago and Joseph S. Wohl
of Cedarhurst, N.Y.
In another address. Dr. Ber-

nard Mandelbaum, provost of the
Seminary, called for the devel-
opment of "a world conscience
to match the world reach of the
space age."

will be Rabbi Mordecai S. Hal-
pern, Beth Shalom Congregation,
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Clement H. Kern,
Most Holy Trinity Parish, and
Dr. James H. Laird, Central
Methodist Church, with Dr. Rob-
ert M. Frehse, Executive Direc-
tor, Michigan Region, NCCJ as
moderator. This meeting will be
held at Beautiful Savior Luth
eran Church, 5631 N. Adams,
Birmingham. •
