Grosbergs to Head Eban Reception;' Israel Bond Leaders Plan Tribute Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gros- berg will head the reception committee for Abba Eban, Is- rael Minister of Education, Nov. 26 when Eban will be guest of honor at a tribute dinner in Cobo Hall. The. Grosbergs will greet Eban on his arrival at the airport and will escort him to the dinner. -Grosberg is chair- man of Trustees of Israel. Rabbi Jacob 'E. Segal, spir- itual leader of Adas Shalom Synagogue, will introduce Eban at the dinner, it was announced by Tom Borman, general chair- man of the Detroit Israel Bond Committee which is sponsoring the affair, the highlight of the 1962 Israel Bond campaign. This will be Eban's first return visit to Detroit since he left Washington in 1959 to join Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion's cabinet. Eban served as Israel's Ambassador to the United States for nine years and as head of Israel's permanent delegation to the United Nations for 11 years, where he earned recognition as "The Voice of Israel." Eban took a major part in the launching of the first Israel Bond issue in May of 1951. Eban, who is also president of the Weizmann Institute of Sci- ence at Rehovoth, is arriving in the United States this week for a tour of major cities on behalf of the Israel Bond drive. His participation is expected to have a decisive effect on the re- sults of the campaign.
