Ann Arbor Bond Committee Will Fete Dr. Haber

Artist Concert, String Competition
Being Planned by Music Study Club

Strings" sponsored by the Music Study Club of Detroit has
been donated by Mrs. Gilbert Schoenfield, past president of the

Music Study Club of Detroit
will present Mary Gillom,
violinist, and Sandra Acker,
pianist, two c u r r e n t Club
scholarship recipients, at a
luncheon rally 12:30 p.m. Tues-
day at the home of Mrs. Wil-
liam Klein, 17489 Westhamp-
ton, Southfield.
Kalman Tillem will discuss
the Club's scholarship pro-
gram. Mrs. Jacob Sauls is chair-
man of the day. The program
is one of a series of rallies pre-
ceding the Annual Artist Con-
cert, to be held 8:30 p.m. Dec. 9
at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Proceeds from the concert help
to provide financial assistance
to promising musicians.
The Club's "Competition for
Strings," for string instrument
students, 16-21, will be held in
January. Cash prizes will be
awarded. Mrs. Gilbert Schoen-
field, past president, has con-
tributed the sum for the second
prize. Those seeking informa-
tion on the competition can call
