Neil Staebler is at home in all Michigan's 83 counties. He has traveled
the State giving inspired leadership to citizen participation in Government.
Descended from one of the pioneer farming families in Washtenaw County,
Staebler helped organize the Ann Arbor Citizens Council and was Chairman
of the Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce Committee for City Charter
Revision. He heads one of the oldest business firms in Michigan.
During World War II he served as a lieutenant in the Navy and in the
Building Materials Branch in, the Office of Price Administration. He- acted
as Consultant with the Federal Housing Administration in 1948.
Neil Staebler's understanding of government at all levels has provided him
with- intimate knowledge of local, State and Federal problems that face
Michigan citizens of both peninsulas.
