to Star in Flint
for Israel Bonds

Joey Adams, star of stage,
radio, television and motion pic-
tures and president of the
American Guild of Variety Art-
ists, will speak Nov. 4 at the
annual dinner at the Durant
Hotel, Flint, in behalf of State
of Israel Bonds and in celebra-`
tion of the development of the
Negev.
Adams has visited Israel on
several occasions as a guest of
the govern-
ment. In Is-
rael he m e t
with numerous
cabinet minis-
ters and other
government of-
ficials. and in-
spected many
Adams of the agricul-
tural and industrial areas being
developed with the aid of Israel
Bond investment capital. He has
been cited for exceptional serv-
ice by the Israel Bond Organi-
zation.
The State of Israel Bond Is-
sue is the central source of in-
vestment capital for Israel's
program of economic develop-
ment.
Proceeds derived through the
sale of Israel Bonds are making
possible the building of perma-
nent homes, the growth of in-
dustry and agriculture, the ex-
pansion of irrigation, the con-
struction of roads, harbors and
railways, the increase of elec-
tric power and the exploitation
of natural resources.

Hundreds of dedicated wo-
men volunteers are participating
in the Israel Bond Women's
Division post-High Holy Day
cash collection drive, which will
be climaxed by a breakfast-
meeting 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the
Israel Bond office, 8522 W.
McNichols.
Heading the collection cam-
paign for the Women's Divi-
sion are Mrs. Joseph . Katchke
and Mrs. Max Stollman, co-
chairmen; Mrs. David Pollack,
sponsor chairman; and Mrs.
Israel Wiener, cash collection
chairman.

A total of over $585,000 in women volunteers to turn the
Israel Bond subscriptions was commitments into cash for
