Rabbi M. Robert Syme and Can-
tor David Orbach on Oct. 14 at
the Sheraton Cadillac Hotel, Re-
becca Ann Gilbert became the
bride of John Anthony Silk.
Parents of the newlyweds are
Mr. and Mrs. Jack J. Gilbert of
Warrington Dr. and Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis A. Silk of Potts
Point, Sydney, Australia.
The bride wore an ivory peau
de soie gown with manderine
neckline, bracelet-length sleeves
and bodice of hand-corded
Alencon lace. The bell-shaped
shirt fell into a chapel train at
floor-length. She wore a tiny
pill box cap of matching lace
attached to a veil of ivory silk
illusion.
Elaine Grace Gilbert served
her sister as maid of honor.
David Lesnie, cousin of the
bridegroom, was best man.
After a honeymoon to Lon-
don, Rome and Hong Kong, the
newlyweds will reside in Syd-
ney, Australia.
