Campaign Finale

An original musical produc-
tion is now in rehearsal for
the closing event of Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah's current
membership campaign.
The event is slated for Nov.
20 at Temple Israel.
The musical was written and
is being produced by Mrs.
David Edelman and Mrs. Leslie
Schmier. The cast, comprised
of Hadassah members, is under
the direction of Mrs. Eli Gross.
Mrs. Ben Tolmich is piano
accompanist. The show is
entitled "Hadassah Capers."
Also highlighting the Nov. 20
event will be a showing of
fashions designed and executed
by the girls of Hadassah's Alice
Seligsberg Vocational High
School in Jerusalem. Mrs.
Faythe Lastar will be com-
mentator.
"Esther Awards" will be
giVen to the two groups which
have enrolled the most new
members, according to Mrs.
Sidney L. Brand, vice-president
of membership. Each member
who has enrolled five new mem-
bers will be awarded a silver
Hadassah pin. In charge of the
awards is Mrs. Jack L. Boxer,
Chapter membership chairman.
A new Brides Group has been
formed by the Detroit Chapter
of Hadassah, announced Mrs.
Max L. Lichter, Chapter presi-
dent.

Marshall Rubin
Gets Grants from
Center, Rutgers

Marshall Rubin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred I. Brown, of
13651 Talbot, Oak Park, a 1962
graduate of Wayne State Uni-
versity, has been granted a

Jewish Center,
where he was

rious part-time activities for the
past five years.
Last year he worked as pro-
gram aide in the Center's youth
division and as an advisor to
some boys' clubs. He has been
active in Habonim and spent
a year in Israel studying and
working in a kibbutz.
Rubin also received a resi-
dency grant at the Camden
Home for Children in New Jer-
sey from Rutgers University,
where he is now enrolled in
the Graduate School of Social
Work in New Brunswick, N.J.
