Am- binder, co-director. The children, who are tempo- rary wards of the court, are not for adoption, says Ambinder, but they are children who for many reasons cannot live with their parents at the present time. "They need homes where the people are patient, warm and understanding, where their lives can be stabilized until they can return to their own homes," he says. Foster homes are licensed by the state and prospective foster parents must meet the follow- ing requirements: 1. A married couple who are self-supporting on the husband's income. 2. Five references. 3. Medical statement indicating . good health. 4. Live within the De- troit city limits. 5. The couple be between the ages of 30 and 60.
