A papal honor has been ac-
corded Eli C. Goldin, a promi-
nent civic figure in Windsor,
Ont., and a leader of that city's
Jewish community. •
The decoration conferred
upon him is that of the Bene-
merenti Medal.
The announcement was made
by Most Rev. John C. Cody,
Bishop of London.
Goldin, 3209 Church St. South,
recently received, also, an hon-
orary doctor of law degree from
Assumption University in Wind-

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Friedman are honored by Dr. Irving
Posner on behalf of Fresh Air Society. Posner was chairman of
the program last Sunday when dedication was made of various
gifts to Camp Tamarack. The plaque, which will adorn the
Samuel and Isabelle Friedman Auditorium and Chapel at
Camp Tamarack, is held by a camper. In the background is
Nathan Silverman, chairman of Tamarack Hills Authority.
