A series of documentaries
based on the deeds of Germans
who risked, their lives to save
Jews during the Hitler regime
is being filmed by a television
company in Wiesbaden in hopes
the dramatizations will help to
combat anti-German sentiment.
In addition to local distribu-
tion, the International Fern-
sehen Agentur television com-
pany in Wiesbaden plans to sell
the movies to the 62 countries
which have subscribed to other
films produced by the firm.
News of the series was pub-
lished here in the radio-tele-
vision section of a recent issue
of "Variety," the trade organ of
the entertainment world. The
article, written by Hazel Guild,
has been reprinted and dis-
tributed to editors of the Amer-
ican press by the Gentian In-
formation Center in New York.
Title of the series is "Men-

Danny Raskin's

schen Hilfen Menschen (People
Help People)."
Miss Guild writes that the
series is part of the West Ger-
man program to educate the
younger people of the terrors
of the Hitler regime, utilizing
films and television documen-
taries.
"But," she comments in the
article, "it is hoped that the
outer world as well will accept
the theme that the Germans of
today are no longer Nazis and
that such television projects as
`People Help People' will pre-
sent a more balanced view."
Miss Guild quotes a television
official as saying, "When we
finally traced down the individ-
uals (upon whom the films are
based), they all aksed that their
names not be used to spare
